I decided to change careers in 2002. My wife Cindy and I headed out to dinner to discuss the future. We went to Spencers Steak House. We even included the waitress in our conversation it was a slow afternoon. I wanted to be self employed. I wanted a commission income. I wanted flexible hours so I could leave town often to go bowling. We kept coming back to insurance. So I called my current insurance agent and asked him how to get started. I joined Farmers Insurance in May 2002 and stayed with them until May of 2010. I then joined The AHBE Group out of Colorado and left Farmers. I now have the flexibility in hours I was after and I am truly Self Employed.
My goals when I joined Farmers were very simple. I wanted to be the best property and casualty insurance agent I could. And I wanted to provide the best coverage at a competitive rate that my clients budget and needs allowed. Now that I have joined The AHBE Group (Tag Insurance), I have many companies to write with so I truly can provide the best policy and at a competitive rate. I have 8 companies that I write personal auto, home, renters, condominium owner, motorcycles, boats and RV’s. I also have approx 20 companies for life insurance and at least a dozen for commercial insurance. I can also write flood and earthquake.
The future is unwritten but for the first time in my life I am in charge and it is up to me. 80% of the people paying for insurance are paying more then they need to be. When I left Farmers my rates dropped 40% and I added coverage. What I have seen with my clients so far is 20% - 60% savings. I see the commercials from the big 3 that all talk about how much money people saved when the switched to them. Think about people would not change unless they did save money. So how do they switch and save money? Easy tickets and accidents fell off they shopped and got a better rate. Or they moved a change in zip code can save hundreds of $$’s. Here is the good news I am blessed with some awesome companies and typically the only thing that needs to change to save money is companies. Let me see if I can help you.

You can put your trust in Riess Insurance Agency. My goal from the birth of my agency was to give my clients the best insurance policies that they want within their budget. And to make sure they understand what they have and what they don’t. If they are underinsured, we will deviop a game plan to get them where they need to be, if that is their desire. If someone just wants State Minimums my agency is probably not the best fit. If you have State Minimums you are underinsured and I am not doing my job. You would be very surprised how little it takes to go from a State Minimum policy to a policy that will protect your assets in most cases. I look forward in serving your needs for many years.
